Sibat Magnetic Titanium Balisong Knife: The Balisong Legacy Perfected with Modern Design

A Tribute to Tradition, Refined for the Future
The Sibat is more than just a knife—it’s a continuation of the timeless legacy of the balisong, reimagined for modern daily carry. Inspired by the rich history of the balisong’s ingenious design and renowned quick deployment, the Sibat pushes the boundaries of innovation. By integrating a stiletto blade for maximum weight efficiency and performance, it combines historical craftsmanship with cutting-edge materials and minimalist engineering.

The Stiletto Blade: Optimized for Speed and Precision
The stiletto blade design is a nod to efficiency and elegance, perfectly complementing the balisong-inspired architecture of the Sibat. Sleek, sharp, and lightweight, the stiletto blade minimizes bulk while maintaining outstanding cutting power and piercing ability. Crafted from M390 steel, it delivers superior edge retention, corrosion resistance, and reliability—qualities essential for both daily tasks and high-performance needs.

Magnetic Deployment: Speed Meets Simplicity
The Sibat's standout feature is its magnetic-assisted deployment system, which provides effortless, one-handed operation. Unlike the traditional hinges of the balisong, the Sibat’s magnetic mechanism reduces the number of moving parts, enhancing durability and ensuring a smooth, satisfying action every time. It’s a seamless blend of the balisong’s rapid deployment ethos with the precision of modern innovation.

Minimalist Design with Maximum Impact
True to the spirit of the balisong, the Sibat is built with simplicity in mind. Grade 5 titanium forms the ultralight yet robust handle, offering strength and durability without unnecessary bulk. Its sand-blasted finish adds a refined, modern aesthetic, while the minimalist design ensures fewer components for greater reliability and ease of maintenance.

Care and Cleaning

To keep your Daily Carry Co. knife performing at its best, clean the blade and titanium handle regularly with a soft cloth and mild soap, avoiding submersion or abrasive cleaners. Always dry thoroughly and do not apply lubricant. Although crafted with corrosion-resistant M390 steel and grade 5 titanium, proper storage in a dry, low-humidity environment will help preserve its longevity. Sharpen the blade as needed, maintaining its original edge angle, and avoid using the knife for tasks beyond its design. With proper care, your knife will remain a reliable, high-performance tool for years to come.

CRAFTING MODERN TOOLS THAT EMPOWER THE MODERN WARRIOR.

Gravity knives were originally designed as a practical tool, primarily for military purposes.

Developed during World War lI by German paratroopers, the unique sliding blade mechanism allowed soldiers to operate the knife with one hand, which was crucial if they needed to cut themselves free from parachute cords or other gear while using their other hand for stability or balance.

The gravity-operated sliding mechanism also allowed the knife to be deployed quickly and efficiently.

Unlike spring-loaded switchblades, which use a mechanical spring to push the blade out, gravity knives rely on the blade's weight and gravity to slide open.

This design was both simple and reliable in harsh conditions

This minimized the need for complex parts that could jam or break in the field. Over time, gravity knives became more widely available, though they remain a specialty tool with specific use cases, especially where one-handed operation is essential.

The Legacy of WW2 Rigger Pouches

Originally crafted by paratroopers and riggers in the field, these pouches were born out of necessity. Soldiers needed lightweight, durable, and versatile solutions to carry critical gear such as ammunition, tools, and personal items during combat. Using spare canvas, riggers fashioned pouches that could be easily attached to belts or harnesses, embodying resourcefulness and practicality. The Rigger Pouch honors this history by embracing the same principles of adaptability and durability.
